Emma is starting to stick up for herself. Makes me proud.
I’m tired. When does this week end? There’s too much to do, even if none of it is particularly difficult. And I hate paint. The stuff hates me too. This design project is going to eat my brains. Of course, there’s a possibility I’ll be eating brains by the end of this week… A good share of my friends are going to be engaged in a massive game of Humans vs Zombies, which is sort of like a game of tag extending over about a week’s time. I’ve been thinking about playing, but I haven’t decided yet. I’m already paranoid, I don’t need swarms of zombies trying to munch my brains. And I’m already tired and busy. More things to do, but it looks like a lot of fun… So I don’t know. I guess we’ll know whether I’m playing by midnight tonight, which is the deadline for registration.

you know, does emma even know what a boon is? This page makes me think she doesn’t, just repeating the words that have been told her. How much does she actually understand whats going on.

Emma is clinging to the only hope she’s been given. She doesn’t know how the world works or what the rules are. All she’s got is the information Caitlin gave her, whatever she and Allen have talked about, and a vague bit of a prophecy from the old folk. She has no idea what Allen and Mathilda are talking about.
As the author, I can tell you that if everything goes as planned and Emma manages all of the things Caitlin mentioned Emma can ask that the queen send her home as her boon and it is within the queen’s power to do it. Emma may lack complete information, but what she has is accurate, at least in this case.

The Missing Knife is live! Pages 1-5 are finished and scheduled to post on Saturdays. Pages 6-9 are underway. The complete chapter should be 24 pages.
June has been productive for comics! I’m hoping to keep things rolling through July; comics production will slow in August as the new school year starts.
I’ve made a handful of site edits: the one I’m most excited about is adding the ability to jump to the start of each chapter through the menu bar! This is an update I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but hadn’t gotten around to. Other edits include minor updates to the About and Social Media sections.

Tom O’Brien and I are tabling at SPX this fall! Come see us and buy some comics.
