Teaching

Allison is currently an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Fort Hays State University, where she teaches freshman writing and comics courses. She is available for lectures and workshops on comics and graphic novels, including comics classes for kids and teens, talks on comics making, guest lectures for college writing classes, one-on-one coaching, and presentations on her research in multimodal composition and design in comics and graphic novels.

Site News

The Missing Knife is live! Pages 1-5 are finished and scheduled to post on Saturdays. Pages 6-9 are underway. The complete chapter should be 24 pages.

June has been productive for comics! I’m hoping to keep things rolling through July; comics production will slow in August as the new school year starts.

I’ve made a handful of site edits: the one I’m most excited about is adding the ability to jump to the start of each chapter through the menu bar! This is an update I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but hadn’t gotten around to. Other edits include minor updates to the About and Social Media sections.
