What now?

The story of Emma and the Fairy Queen is finished, coming in at a lovely 77 pages. For the time being, I have no plans to come back to this world and characters in a significant way. This is the story, whole and complete.

That doesn’t mean that this is the end of Emma related art.  I am working on a cover and plan to create a title page and end page to tie things together and make it feel more finished.  I am also considering doing more character portraits for the gallery and scanning the rest of my sketches.  I’m rather fond of these characters, so they may appear in single page comics, my cartoons for the school paper, and additional sketches.

The question now is, “What next?” Unfortunately, my life at the beginning of this semester has gotten really busy.  I don’t have time to dive into a new project at the moment.  I have school work to do and Grad School admissions essays and cartoons to write and draw, so there will not be any regularly scheduled comics at this time.

What will be regularly updating is the Illustration Blog.  This is a new link you will find at the top of the page, which will take you to the Tumblr account where I will be posting everything I do for my illustration course this semester.  There are ten drawings there already, with another ten waiting to be scanned this evening.  You can expect multiple updates each week, likely on rough tues/thurs/sun schedule.

When I start the next webcomic story, I will announce it here, on facebook and on twitter.  I am also considering deviating from the graphic novel format and illustrating a handful of short stories and poems before going into the next comic, and that will also be announced in all three of these locations.  For the time being, Tumblr is the place that will update.  Once my schedule sort of settles into place and I wrap up the extra things I need to do, I will carve out time for more drawing of my own.

Thank you for reading, and enjoy the illustrations!
