No Excuse

I’m sorry there isn’t a page tonight.

My excuse is that this past week has been very busy, mostly with good things, but I worked on a project all weekend and didn’t sleep well last night because I was worrying about it (even though it was finished and it was perfectly lovely and there was nothing to worry about), and I’m still tired.  Yesterday was not a good day.  Today has been a decent day but I have been enchanted by a character I’ve been playing with lately and sat down to write up her back story and do some sketching and suddenly the evening was gone.

So I don’t really have an excuse.  I had the time.  I wrote something else.

The tentative plan is to get a page done for Friday and scan some of the sketches I’ve been doing lately.  Most of those will go in the gallery, and one will be the new vote incentive.

We are very nearly through every page I have drawn, almost half way through the final chapter.  I’ve been working on getting more pages together, but we are now getting into posts that I have drawn within the past few weeks instead of months ago and this is both exciting and scary for me.  My semester is hurtling to a close and I think we can expect that there will not be many two comic weeks between now and then.  I am going to do my best to not totally miss any updates.  Once I’ve moved home I will wrap up the remaining pages, see where I’m at and how busy the summer is going to be, and come up with a plan for producing the next story.  If I travel much over the summer that may cause complications, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.  I should be able to stock material ahead of time.  Who knows, I might even have a buffer again!

I’m sorry I haven’t updated tonight.  It makes me sad when I do not update and I am just as anxious as you are to see how the last dozen pages unfolds.  I really like Emma, and I want to be able to share the last part of the story because this is the bit that none of my test audiences have read yet and I am very happy with how it came together but I can’t share it until I update and I haven’t updated tonight.

If you feel the need to pester me and tell me I need to update, feel free to act on that impulse.  Sometimes I can use the extra motivation and the reminder that this doesn’t get done unless I do it and we all want it to get done.

So anyway, goodnight, sleep well, please don’t get kidnapped by fairies, and I will see you soon with this week’s belated update.
