I had a really good day today. I woke up earlier than usual, drank coffee, played guitar, took a walk, fantasized about how amazing my barn (an old limestone barn on my mother’s property which I am slowly turning into an art studio) would be if I had an unlimited budget to renovate with, ate lunch, helped with the garden (I picked ground cherries, which are really kind of cool), drove into town for a drama rehearsal at the library, discovered that I was 55 minutes early and not 5 minutes late as I had thought, played video games for an hour, went back for rehearsal, joined friends for an RPG (A dark D20 modern game where I am playing myself), cooked dinner with my sister (not the best job we’ve ever done, but edible), played more video games, started writing a new blog entry for my website… It’s been a good day. I suppose that some would argue that I haven’t been particularly productive, but I have kept busy and as far as my sanity is concerned that is what matters. Also, I have not opened my laptop since I closed it last night around 1:30, and I’m rather proud of myself. No laptop means no tetris (I play too much tetris) and less facebook, which all helps to contribute to me having had a really pleasant day.
