Emma and the Fairy Queen 73

I don’t know how I feel about the mermaid, but I love the unicorn and Emma is darn cute.  The unicorn is in part a tribute to my ponies, who my father gave away last winter.  The story is thus: I came home for thanksgiving and he said, “I’m talking to some people who are interested in the ponies, what do you think about this?” and I said, “I see why you don’t really want to keep them, but they’re my friends and you can’t get rid of them.”  The discussion went back and forth but didn’t really move from those points.  At Christmas I came home again, mentioned something to my sister about the ponies and she say “Dad gave them away, didn’t he tell you?”

Anyway, Paint, the smaller of the ponies, probably had some unicorn ancestry and sported a lovely beard and feathery wisps of hair around his hooves.  Barnum had a really thick dark mane that was beautiful for braiding.  The unicorn’s mane is shorter, but behaves similarly.
