Tonight is one of those times.
I got online to check that everything was running smoothly with the comic updates and noticed that the latest version of ComicPress, the theme that runs things for me, was waiting to be installed. As the last two versions have both caused problems (see the blog post before last), I thought that this one would fix the errors.
How wrong I was.
Now not only are several of the color scheme choices off doing random things and not letting me fix them, but the comic pages themselves have gone missing.
You have no idea how frustrated I am.
I am currently going through each post and guiding it back to the file that it needs. If you happen to stop by while this is in progress or were here during the span of time where everything was going crazy and the comic itself just disappeared completely, I apologize. Hopefully I’ll find a way to prevent the website from freaking out every time I go in to update things. I would just refuse to update, but sometimes the changes really are helpful, so for now I will go back to trying to put everything right again. Thank you for your patience.

Right now all of Chapter 2 should be working again except for page 28. I don’t know why that page is being stubborn.
Fixing the pages is starting to take longer for whatever odd reason, and I am exhausted, so I’m going to go to bed. I should be able to get a couple more pages fixed tomorrow morning– before noon on saturdays the internet moves much more quickly than it does any other time that I am awake. I will update you on my progress.

Taking Stock is finished! The final two pages will post on May 26 and June 2nd. The end of the semester, travel, and a bout of COVID slowed me down, but it’s done.
Up next is The Missing Knife! The script is due for another round of revisions over the next few weeks, with new pages hopefully getting underway late June, early July.
