Getting There

Whew. We are still dealing with a few kinks, but for the most part everything is working again. The three updates that I missed are up, and the next two are uploaded and pending. There are some minor things around the site that I am frustrated with, but everything is functional. I expect to fix those once the next update comes through for the ComicPress theme.

The end of this month is going to be very busy for me. I will be moving back into the dorms and starting new classes, working on recruitment for various groups I am involved in and helping freshmen adapt to college life. I will be reconnecting with friends I haven’t seen in months and getting to know new faces. In short, this website is going to have a lot of competition in my priorities.

That doesn’t mean that it will disappear of that updates will stop happening. They will just likely be automated updates that I create before I leave. After a week or so things should settle down a bit and I will be back to drawing and scanning and all of this good stuff. I hate missing updates, so I’m going to do everything in my power to create buffer before I go and get back to this before I run through it.

Part of what was so frustrating about this recent unscheduled hiatus was that I HAD buffer. I had five pages scanned, and I was only going to need two of them. I was confident that everything would go smoothly editing and uploading these pages. And I was wrong. I got error messages, and I assumed that if I tried again they would go away. By the time I realized that they weren’t, I was out of time and couldn’t rescan them.

Out of all of this have come some positive results. The editing process has been refined and improved. The site itself is, for the most part, looking better than it ever has. In trying to fix the pressing problems I stumbled upon solutions to some minor ones. There is still a ways to go, but I’m making progress, and in good time I believe that this website and this comic can grow to be something that I can truly be proud of. Thank you for your continued patience and support.
